It took a while, but the conference images page is up and going and growing like crazy! Hit the link to see the page, and if you have any images you'd like us to add (anything, as long as it's decent and from the conferece), email us (more info about emailing images on the conference images page, linked above).
Mary Beth Dreyer, the Youth to Youth program specialist at Prevention Partners who was kind enough to stick around for the whole conference, wrote this fantastic article about the conference. The article ran in the November 29, 1999 (Volume 5, Issue 7) Y2Y Connections Newsletter.
Approximately 300 youth and adults attended the Skaneateles-Marcellus Y2Y conference on November 13th-14th. Those of us who went know that it was a huge success!! Screaming With Pleasure Productions kicked off the conference and created an exciting, entertaining and visually captivating presentation using comedy, drama, and juggling while educating about alcohol and other drug issues. Donna Callander-Lanphear shared Christopher's Story, an emotional story about her son's untimely death due to alcohol. Off the Cuff, an improvisational theatre troupe, used audience suggestions and participation to make us laugh. There were a variety of workshops to choose from. I understand that the magician actually levitated, the K-9 dog had "an accident," some of us got to wear "beer goggles" and there were quite a few ultra-relaxed participants!! We even got to go on a field trip to the Ultimate Goal!! How lucky we all were to take a bus ride at midnight and then again at 6:30 am!! It really was a great conference. Regardless of the fact that I got minimum sleep, I left feeling energized and anxious for the next conference. Thank you to all who helped plan the event - your hard work certainly paid off!! For you first timers, we certainly hope that you stay involved with Youth to Youth and come to future events.

And last but nowhere near least, our amazing conference participants for
having such a great time!
